Achievement

How important is a high level of success to you?

If you're like most people, it's pretty important. It may be measured in attaining an academic degree, by getting a promotion, or by getting a raise and being able to easily afford all the luxuries money can buy.

I think we all may define achievement differently, but we all would probably agree that it feels AMAZING to accomplish our goals. We feel confident, powerful, inspired and successful.

What if you felt this way ALL the time? What could you achieve?

Some ways you could increase your confidence and natural power would be to identify and eliminate all the annoyances from your life. You will experience an immediate energy surge that will inspire you.

You could also start by setting S.M.A.R.T. goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time Specific) and creating a "To-Do" list for accomplishing these goals.

Sometimes, just the act of writing down our goals is enough to make them occur.

Try this exercise: Make a list of goals that you would like to accomplish in the next month. (Be sure to make the goals something that would be realistic and possible, for example, I want to get to know that cute person from Marketing - NOT, I want to meet someone and marry him/her in the next month, though technically, I suppose this would be possible).

Anyway, once you've set 3-5 "mini" goals (in keeping with the idea that these should be attainable), write these down and tuck your list away. Go back to it in about a month, and you'll be surprised to see how many things occurred from your list without too much effort on your part.

You can also try this, with bigger goals, for a longer time period (like 6 months or a year.)

Writing down your goals is the first step to achieving them.

You can do it!
