Lose Weight
Are you someone who struggles with being overweight? Have you tried many diets or weight loss programs only to find that you lose weight, but then gain it all back?
You're not alone. Many of my clients had struggled with being overweight and the seemingly endless cycle of losing weight, gaining weight, maintaining weight.
A few years ago, I suddenly realized how much my clients put their lives "on hold" because they were overweight. They held back from trying new things, meeting new people, or feeling confident about their skills and talents.
It occurred to me, one day, that what if, maybe, instead of focusing so much on losing weight, just by itself, they focused more on the other life goals they thought their weight was keeping them from.
I shared this idea with several of my clients, and they loved it. They were willing to shift their focus onto something else and notice what (if anything) this did to their weight.
All of these clients shifted their focus and began pursuing other life goals. Amazingly, their weight began to drop off- easily and without hunger. They felt a bit worried and scared at first, "What if I can't keep it off??" but then, after a while, they began to feel so good about themselves that they naturally took actions which helped them maintain their weight loss.
So the technique is simple if you want to lose weight, focus on something else.
